Open doors
Our new sawmill open house event will take place on Friday 1.9.2023. The public will have the opportunity to visit the plant and the sawmill from 14-18. The tour will take place in guided small groups. The entrance route to the venue is via Varejoentie, Varejoentie 35, where signposts will direct you to the venue. Earlier in the day, the sawmill will be inaugurated by Sari Essayah, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. To celebrate, salmon soup and coffee with filling cake will be served. You are warmly welcome!
Opening ceremony
The sawmill is ready to open its doors for production Tervola Saha ja Höyläämö Oy's ongoing large-scale sawmill project has reached the stage where the plant can be officially opened and put into production. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday 1 September 2023, starting with an inauguration ceremony with invited guests. Tervolan Saha ja Höyläämö Oy invests in a new sawmill in Tervola
The investment project includes new equipment; a sawmill, a saw feed, a peeling mill, a 30-compartment fresh sorting and rimming plant and a production control system. The equipment will be installed in a new hall of almost 4000 m2. The project will start in summer 2022 and will be completed in summer 2023. Upon completion, the company will employ at least 10 more people and will have a wider indirect impact.
